Zulfa Begins to Resemble Its Intended Facility Design
There’s much more visibility to the progress at Zulfa Food Industries. Many areas of the project are now entering the finishing work stage after months of construction, with the factory, hotel and surrounding areas beginning to look much more like what the finished site will eventually become.
Inside the factory work is going forward in several directions at once. Electrical connections and cabling for the General Administration Building is now complete and work on the rest of the wall work is almost complete with the tiling of the floor beginning. In the main factory floors are being prepared and levelled and roof installation continues.
The supporting buildings are also close to completion. The Main Substation Room and Battery Room are being prepared for equipment and generators and the warehouses are being cleaned out and cleared for the next phase of work. Interior work and finishing has carried on in the maintenance hangar and generator room.
Some of the most obvious changes are seen around the hotel and accommodation
buildings. Rooms are being cleaned, furniture set up and curtains installed in the Engineers’ and VIP buildings. The final electrical, camera and early warning systems are also being completed. The Workers’ Building is at a similar stage with the furniture already set up and the sitting room and staff lounge ready.
Other parts of the hotel are also shaping up. The dining rooms, kitchen, storage areas and gyms are in the final stages of air-conditioning, painting, cleaning and fitout work. Work is in progress on the electrical wiring, the interior finishes and the equipment that will eventually be located in the meeting hall space.
Roads and walkways are close to being finished, light poles have been put up and work on the landscaped areas has started. Areas for planting are being filled with soil and irrigation system connections are being made.
It’s not one big piece of construction that shows how far Zulfa has come at this point. It’s all those things working together. Simultaneously, buildings are being completed, rooms are being furnished, electrical systems are being prepared, roads are being formed and the outdoor areas are being landscaped.
