Construction Progress Continues At The Benghazi Steel Complex

Construction actively remains busy at the Tosyali SULB steel complex in Benghazi, The latest updates are showing steady progress, the groundwork has been coming to an end and more visible stages of development have appeared. According to the latest report, engineers, contractors and other staff were active across the whole building site throughout the day.
One of the clearest signs of that progress can be seen in the project's foundation works. Such as the deep piling operations that are now coming to an end, with most of the planned piles already installed across the site. The teams also have completed the casting of eight additional piles in the Cooling Tower area, bringing the project closer to finishing one of the most important early construction phases.
Work also continues on the structure that will support the operation of the complex foundations for CDRI Passivation Silos are complete, while concrete work is ongoing at the 220kV, Main Control Room, Oxygen Reduction Building, Gas Treatment Area and Duct Bridge.
The steel installation is also moving forward, more than 4,900 tonnes of structural steel have been installed so far, including 126 tonnes added during the work period. Engineers are also working on Reformer Area, Utility Compressor Room and warehouse facilities.
The figures show continued progress across the whole project, heavy concrete pouring has reached nearly 60 percent completion, while earthworks and backfilling activities have passed the halfway mark. Every day, teams continue working on foundations, steel structures, utility systems and support facilities to ensure the project takes its final form in the near future.
