Massive Tanks Rise Over Tosyali SULB as Installation Begins

The Tosyali SULB site in Benghazi is beginning to look very different. Large pieces of industrial equipment are now arriving at the complex. Some of the latest are already being lifted into place.
The site has just received a new shipment of high-capacity gas tanks for the Air Separation Unit (ASU). Their size was an operation in itself to get them there. The tanks were transported on special heavy-duty transporters, along prepared and secured routes for the delivery.
Cranes were brought in, and the engineering and technical teams started unloading the tanks and lifting them vertically into place in the ASU area.
That’s a long way from the early stages of the project. For months much of what could be seen across the complex was groundwork, foundations and first steel structures. Now the equipment that will eventually be part of the working plant is starting to show up among them.
The tanks are part of the infrastructure being put in place for the Air Separation Unit, one of the utility areas being prepared as construction progresses throughout the complex.
And that is perhaps what makes the last delivery interesting. This is not just another shipment coming down to Benghazi. The equipment is being moved to the site piece by piece, the structures are taking shape, and the Tosyali SULB complex is starting to look less like a construction site and more like the steel plant it is being built to be.
