The Scale Of Tosyali-SULB Is Becoming Impossible To Miss

The components of the Benghazi complex are starting to come together as a result of the progress made across Tosyali-SULB. Mechanical equipment is starting to show up in the locations where it will eventually operate, and new buildings are rising alongside those that are already in later phases of construction. A number of the future iron and steel complex's components are currently being developed side by side throughout the site.
As the project advances toward above-ground construction and equipment installation, the most recent work demonstrates how much it has altered. While concrete and structural steel construction is still ongoing across the complex, piling has been finished throughout the site.
The Cooling Tower and Gas Compressor Building's concrete foundation was finished, while masonry continued in the Main Control Building, Maintenance Building, Service Compressor Building, and MHS01 Electrical Room at the 220 kV Substation, plastering was finished within the switchgear building.
In other areas, the complex's steel framework is still expanding. While cladding is being completed at the Maintenance Building and Oxide Silo, columns and beams are being assembled through the Reduction Area and Pipe Rack Area.
Additionally, there is a noticeable shift toward the equipment that will eventually run inside the facility. The travelling wheels for the Bucket Wheel Stacker and Reclaimer in the Oxide Storage Area, a piece of the facility's material-handling machinery, have begun to be installed.
All of this is driven by a workforce that currently numbers over 1,200. Engineering, civil, structural, architectural, technical, and mechanical teams are engaged across the site, and Tosyali-SULB employees collaborate with Benestruct teams and other subcontractors.
The changes are getting more tangible for Tosyali-SULB. Equipment is starting to arrive in the regions where it will eventually work, silos are rising, and steel structures are dispersing throughout the site.
Although the Benghazi Iron and Steel Complex is still under construction, more of the operation that will eventually be housed there is becoming apparent with each new building and installation.
