New Infrastructure At Zulfa Food Industries

Work is underway at the Zulfa Food Industries project to strengthen the infrastructure of the factory and to establish the systems to support the day to day operations when production begins. The teams have been busy this past week with work underway in many areas of the project including electrical infrastructure, site coordination, security planning and operational readiness.
One recent development has been a review of a security and monitoring system for the factory. Zulfa met with representatives of Hikvision, as well as engineers, consultants and members of the site’s technical, maintenance and security teams, to discuss a proposal to help the site operate safely and efficiently.
Surveillance cameras, thermal imaging and smart detection technology were installed, the system is able to detect smoke, heat, flames and gas leakages.
Meanwhile work on the factory’s electrical system continues. Medium voltage electrical room installation. This room is vital to the distribution of power throughout the facility. The system is set to cut the incoming electricity before it is fed into the production lines for daily operations.
Another step forward is the delivery and positioning on site of four 1.5 MW electrical transformers ready for installation. The work is being completed in association with the National Construction Company and the electrical, civil and architectural packages are progressing in line with the building programme for the project.
Project coordination continues to be an important area of work. The General Manager, consultants, contractors and technical teams met at the most recent weekly co-ordination meeting to review progress made over the past week, discuss the main activities taking place across the site and work through technical challenges to help keep construction moving according to schedule. The contractor for the on-site hotel project was again met to review the current progress of the project and the next phases of work.
We are doing a lot of work behind the scenes right now, but it’s an important part of getting the facility ready for the future.
