Work Advances at Raw Water Basin

The teams are now working on concrete and structural work on the Raw Water Basin at the Tosyali-SULB steel complex in Benghazi, where work continues around the clock.
Crews worked through the day and night to keep this part of the project on track. So far, 1,622 cubic meters of concrete have been poured out of the planned 2,377 cubic meters.
The engineering and technical teams on site are watching the work itself closely. Pouring concrete takes time and coordination, particularly when work continues across shifts so teams are overseeing each stage while also watching for safety and quality of work being done.
In time the Raw Water Basin will be incorporated into the overall utility system for the steel complex. Once its concrete structures are completed, work can proceed in the surrounding utility areas and help prepare this part of the plant for testing and technical commissioning later.
The priority is to complete the remaining concrete work. This is one part of a much larger project but, like many of the areas now taking shape across the site, other work relies on it being prepared.
The Raw Water Basin is nearing completion and with teams still working into the evening the next stages of work around it can commence.
